The popular Liberian song bird will be coming along with the Assistant Minister of Information for Information Services, Hon. Abu Kamara who will address an extraordinary sessions of the King Sao Bosso Kamara Lecture Series on Saturday, November 10, 2007 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

 

As for Massebe, whose latest single "Dengo" remains Liberia's best seller on the chart, will be performing at concerts in Philadelphia, New Jersey, Minneapolis, Minnesota, as well as Atlanta, Georgia.

 

Dates for the various performances are still being worked out and the public will be informed soon with updated schedules and venues of Massebe’s performances.

Since the release of her first album, "Dengo," Massebe Kamara has become a household name in Liberia and beyond. She has performed at venues in Liberia, Ivory Coast and Guinea and is ready to visit and perform in the US as guest of FELMAUSA.

 

Speaking to our reporter from Monrovia, Massebe said, she feels "truly honored to have been invited to go to the USA to sing my songs for my people." She said she feels great about the responses she continues to get from people who like her music. "I am coming fully prepared to share my talent with my people."

 

While she is still enjoying the success of her first album, Massebe's second album, "Enyalama" has been released in Monrovia to a wilder acclaim and is ripping the air waves of various radio station in Monrovia. Her first album sets on the track to stardom. One thing that separate this new album from the old one is that she sings one of the songs in English, “No More War.”

 

While in America, Massebe will hold series of concerts in various states before returning to Liberia. Plans are underway to produce her video to give her more national and international exposure to the extraordinary artistic talent of Liberia.
 
For his part, Minister Abu said that he is impressed that "our people are organizing in the most powerful nation of the world." He went on to say that he is bringing good news to "our people from Liberia." 

Nvasekie Konneh, President of KonnLove Entertainment, which promotes Massebe Kamara, expresses delight in that the recording artist is coming to the United States to showcase her talent. According to Nvasekie, who is also Massebe's producer, promoter and manager, he is "committed to promoting the best artistic talents from Liberia and this is just the beginning. "The  sky is the only limit," he declared excitedly.
