The National
Board of Directors of
the Federation of
Liberian Mandingo
Associations in the USA
has been installed in
Milwaukee, Wisconsin on
Saturday, November 3,
2007.
At the jam-packed ceremony held at the
Mother Daniels Conference Center, Mr.
Richard Badger, who represented the
Milwaukee City Mayor, performed the
induction of the Board.
Performing the session, Mr. Badger
challenged the Board officials to work
together to ensure there is proper
accountability and transparency in the
Federation. "Before I I begin, I want to
know if you are ready to perform the
task as members of the Board," Richard
asked the 14-member Board members. And
in unison, they responded, "Yes."
Former Liberian army chief of staff,
Abraham Kromah was installed as Chairman
of the Board. Others include Abraham
Bility and Mamadee Konneh of Wisconsin,
Abu Sillah of Pennsylvania, Mohammed
Bility and Frank Sanoh of Pennsylvania,
Varmuyah Sirleaf of North Carolina,
Mohammed Dolley and Ismail Komara of
Minnesota, Abdulah Quisiah of Texas,
Kasimu M. Sillah and Musa Fofana of
Georgia, Khalifa Donzo of Virginia, and
Gafee Swaray of New Jersey.

The National Board of Directors, which
will serve a two-year term, is the
highest decision-making body of FELMAUSA.
Members of the Board were elected by the
various member states and representation
on the board is contingent upon the size
of the membership of each state.
According to the constitution, which
was adopted at the June 2007 convention
in Philadelphia, a state of 25 to 100
registered members shall be entitled to
one board member, while a state of 101
to 200 registered members shall be
entitled to 2 board members.
A state with more than 200 registered
members shall be entitled to no more
than three (3) Board members.
