The Assistant Minister
of Information for
Information Services,
Hon. Abu Kamara will on
November 17, 2007
address the King Sao
Bosso Kamara Lecture
Series in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania.
The goal of the lecture
series is to promote
peace and reconciliation
through dialogue and
Min. Kamara will be
speaking on topic with
this objective in mind.
The lecture series is a
program of the King Sao
Bosso Kamara Lecture
Series Coordinating
Committee under the
direction of the
Liberian Mandingo
Association of
Pennsylvania. Since its
launching in 2005, the
lecture series have
featured several
prominent Liberians
including Hon. Tiawon
Gongloe, the Solicitor
General of Liberia, Hon.
Gbaa Gbala, a former
Liberian government
official, Dr. Abdullah
Dukuly, a prominent
Liberian intellectual,
as well as Musa Bility,
President of the
National Mandingo Caucus
of Liberia. The last
lecture hosted Mr.
Mohammed Keita and
Philip Dia-Kpoto of
UNICO.
Min. Kamara is in the US
as the guest of,
Federation of the
Liberian Mandingo
Association in America,
FELMAUSA. He and the
Liberia based singer,
Massebe Kamara were
scheduled to attend the
recent inauguration of
the newly elected
leadership of Felmausa
which was held in
Milwaukee, Wisconsin on
November 3, 2007.
They could not make it on time due to
unavailability of flight out of
Monrovia. Now that he’s finally here,
FELMAUSA and the community want to make
use of the honorable assistant
minister’s time by inviting him to this
very important intellectual forum.
Min. Kamara expressed delight that his
fellow Liberians in the US could invite
him to participate in this very
important program. He said he has been
following the King Sao Bosso Kamara
Lecture Series since its inception and
that he is happy to be a part of it.
The program will be held at edifice of
the African Cultural Alliance of North
America (ACANA), 5526 Chester Avenue,
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. All is
welcome.
