Min. Kamara To Address King Sao Bosso Forum In Minneapolis, MN November 24th

In collaboration with the Liberian Mandingo Association of Pennsylvania (LIMAP) and the Federation of Liberian Mandingo Associations of United States of America (FELMAUSA), The Minnesota Mandingo Association invites the general public to come and listen to the Assistant Minister of Information for information Services of the Republic of Liberia, Abu Kamara, as he addresses the King Sao Bosso Kamara Lecture Series in Minnesota on Saturday, November 24, 2007 at the Center for Families Services on  3333 NORTH FOURTH STREET, MINNEAPOLIS MN 55412 at Time: 4:30 pm

The Assistant Minister on the topic: EDUCATION: the panacea for social transformation in post war Liberia.

Minister Kamara was born in 1968, in Zorzor, Lofa County. He holds a BS in Mass Communication and a Diploma in Journalism from the Ahmadu Bero University in Nigeria. In 2002, he wrote a project on the Nigerian media coverage of the regional Peacekeeping mission, a comparative analysis on the Liberian and Sierra Leone crisis. He also developed training modules and conducted training courses on effective report writing skills, tip on news writing, information management in crisis zones and journalism and diplomacy, and information administration in media institution in post conflict societies.

Prior to his appointment as Assistant Minister, Hon. Kamara served as Director of News of Renaissance Communication Inc., a television and radio outlet in Liberia.

Started in 2005, the objective of the lecture series is to honour the contribution of King Musa Kamara (known in Liberian history as King Sao Bosso) in promoting peace and reconciliation through dialogue.

The series has featured several prominent Liberians including Hon. Tiawon Gongloe, the Solicitor General of Liberia, Hon. Gbaa Gbala, a former Liberian government official, Dr. Abdullah Dukuly, a prominent Liberian intellectual, Mr. Sam Mohammed Kromah, former President of ULAA, as well as Musa Bility, President of the National Mandingo Caucus of Liberia.
