Death Announcement: From Allah we came
and truly back to Him we shall return.
The Sirleaf, Sheriff, Nyei and Kanneh
families announce with profound sadness
the home going of Ma-Koja Nyei (Bonna)-Sirleaf.
Mama Koja peacefully passed on Friday,
March 7, 2008 on the family farm in
Gbarpolu County, Republic of Liberia.
Mrs. Sirleaf leaves to celebrate her
life a host of families, friends,
neighbors and well wishers. She is
survived by her children, including,
Ahmed Sirleaf of Minneapolis, USA, Venus
Maima Kamara-Sirleaf (daughter-in-law),
Fatu Sirleaf of Monrovia, Liberia, Salia
Sirleaf of Accra, Ghana, Gebah Sirleaf
of Paynesville, Monrovia, Narko Sirleaf
of Duala, Liberia, Ma-Batu Sirleaf of
Accra, Ghana, and host of other children
and wards both in Liberia and the USA.
She also leaves a host of wonderful
grand and great grand children including
Hawah Jasmine Sirleaf, Minneapolis, USA,
her namesake Oumu Koja Sirleaf of
Minneapolis, Momolu V. Sirleaf of Logan
Liberia, Kaabineh Varsay Sirleaf of
Logan Town Bushrod Island, Monrovia,
Kulah Sirleaf, of Logan Town, and other
grand and great grand children in
Liberia and abroad.
Mama has since been interned in
observance of Islamic practices. The
family both in Liberia and the USA will
be celebration her life and making Du’a
on the 7th day following her
death in Liberia and Minneapolis, USA,
Friday (in Liberia) and Saturday, March
15, 2008 at Masjid An’nur in
Minneapolis, Minnesota.
